Becky Mendoza has passionately been involved in action sports for over fifteen years. Born and raised in Miami, Florida she attended the University of Florida, graduating Cum Laude at the age of 20, with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. After enrolling in law school, she received an opportunity to spend a summer in California where she interned with The Familie (aka Wasserman Media Group) under super-agent Steve Astephen. After graduating from law school in Miami with a Juris Doctor and a Master’s Degree in Sports Administration in 2005 and getting some experience under her belt, she returned to Encinitas, California and began working as a contract attorney for major league baseball players. With years worth of action sports experience, contracts, relationships, and her ability to relate to the lifestyle of action sports athletes and professionals, Becky decided to marry her knowledge of contracts and athlete visas with her passion for action sports and launch Action Sports Law Group was born in 2009. Today, her passion for action sports and the lifestyle associated continues to play a pivotal role in her day-to-day life. Her love for surfing, snowboarding, yoga, and an all around healthy lifestyle all impact her outlook and practice as an attorney. By incorporating these passions into her business, she has been able to connect with clients on a personal level and form relationships that go far beyond the office.

She is also the co-founder of Changing Tides Foundation, a non-profit organization that empowers women to protect the planet and promotes inclusivity and diversity in and out of the ocean, where she served 6 years as Executive Director and still sits as the President of the Board.

Ashley Tuttle has been involved in the action sports world for over a decade, as an athlete, industry member and as an attorney. She was born in Englewood, New Jersey, and was raised throughout the Northeast in New Jersey and Quebec, learning to ski at the age of five, and snowboarding by eight years old. After high school, she attended the University of Vermont (UVM). Throughout her time at UVM, she had the opportunity to intern and eventually work at Rome Snowboards balancing school, strategically developing her schedule to snowboard five days a week and competing in regional snowboarding contests. In 2011, Ashley graduated from UVM with a Bachelors of Science in Parks, Recreation and Tourism for Private Entities. Upon graduation, she continued to work at Rome Snowboards, assisting wherever needed including operations, rider services, and event marketing. She then made her way to California and enrolled at Southwestern School of Law in Los Angeles in 2014. After her first year in law school, she had the opportunity to intern at ASLG, working directly under Founding Attorney Becky Mendoza. During her time at ASLG, she merged her passions for action sports and her new love of law, growing her knowledge of athlete immigration law, contract review and various sports related issues. By her second summer, Ashley landed an internship with Escape Artist Entertainment, learning about a plethora of film and television related matters and agreements. In 2017, she earned her Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law, passed the California Bar Exam and moved to Oceanside to works as Associate Attorney for ASLG. Today, Ashley is based out of Bend, Oregon where she works remotely to pursue her love of snowboarding, mountain biking, and the outdoors. Her work-life balance as an attorney, snowboarder, and competitive freerider positively impacts her practice as an attorney. She is an invaluable asset to our law firm and to our clients on both a personal and professional level..
